Things to Pack Before Leaving

very loose fitting pajamas​

there are a lot of soft & cheap ones at places like TJ Max​

loose sweatpants, shorts, & shirts

loose everything! you're going to swell a lot and you should have clothing that allows for that​

loose and normal sized underwear​

for girls, make sure the underwear can be used with a period pad​

a pair of tighter pants and sports bra (for girls)

for the pre-op appointment​

oversized bathrobe

you can purchase one upon arrival if thats easier for you, I just wanted to wash it before

the hospital does provide you with a few pairs of grippy socks but you're welcome to bring your own if that makes you feel more comfortable​

bedding for the parent that is staying overnight

there is a reclining chair that the parent sleeps on, but it's nice to bring a few things to get yourself comfortable

*from a parents POV*: a small inflatable camping mattress and sleeping bag was light and easy to bring & worked really well

supportive slides/shoes
-
*From a parents POV*: you'll be on your feet quite a bit so make sure you have a pair of shoes or slides to support yourself (your feet will thank you) :)​
